Africa In Motion Film Festival - 15th October to 31st October 2021
Ayr Film Society is proud to be sponsoring Africa in Motion this year for the second time! As part of our sponsorship we are offering 20 free streaming tickets for the opening film, Siji Awoyinka's ‘Elder’s corner’ - screening 15th October.
Elder's Corner is a historical music documentary showcasing the lives and work of Nigeria's pioneering musicians.
From the colourful, celebratory sounds of Juju to the politicized urgency of Afrobeat, Nigerian musicians have spearheaded some of Africa's most prominent musical movements, leading to the hilife sound and afrobeat that would come to influence musicians around the world.
Often times, their work formed the backdrop against which the nation blossomed. So what happened to the pioneering artists who rose to prominence during the country's halcyon years - and continued to endure when it faltered?
For your chance to win a ticket, simply fill in the information to the left - tickets are limited and you need to apply before Monday 11th October. It is first come first served, so be quick!
