**AGM 2011**
The AGM was held on Thursday 20th October in the Carlton Hotel. A turnout of around 40 members was recorded. Following the official business the treasurer, Ron Currie, updated the members on what the committee had been trying to achieve in relation to finding a new venue. It was proposed, at this point in time, that we accept the offer from Prestwick Indoor Bowling Club to use one of the rooms in their premises. To this end it is hoped that a screening can be held on Thursday 24th November 2011. Following the end of the formal business the audience was then treated to a very slick presentation by Tom Christie on ‘A Christmas Movie Timeline: 1898-2009’ this was a fascinating talk on the genre and more information can be found in Tom's new book 'The Christmas Movie Book (2011)' due for publication shortly.
